About Us

We are Jack and Susan Davis. The name of our website is Yellowstone History. This site is a work in progress. It will change as we add new information and edit posted information. Our objective is to share the knowledge and expertise we have acquired relating to Yellowstone National Park. Our perspective of Yellowstone is based on our experiences as antique collectors and dealers. This is a unique point of view that won’t be found anywhere else.  

We will be using historic, vintage images to illustrate the articles on this website. These images are taken from originals we have collected. Our objective is to be educational and entertaining. We have conducted business with more than 30 national parks and monuments since the 1980s. Susan and I were on the advisory board of the Yellowstone Park Foundation for 4 years and are consulates to the Heritage and Research Center. We hosted the only national park antiques and postcard show in the country for 6 years, from 1993-1998. We enjoy a close working relationship with Yellowstone National Park and other units managed by the National Park Service.

The history of Yellowstone National Park has been influenced by the history of America. The social history includes the economy, technology, politics, world wars, and numerous other factors. The history of Yellowstone is complex and many-sided. We hope the information on this website adds to your understanding and appreciation of Yellowstone National Park.
